Here it is, a groove slightly transformed, just a little of a break from the norm...

Memorial Day - what better way to kick off the summer than watching the Yankees vs. the World Champ Phillies on a beautiful day in the Bronx?  I don't even like the Yankees that much, but the game was fun and the new stadium was crazy.  Huge, clean and new.  Cushioned stadium seats, built in cup holders, actual leg room and futuristic clean bathrooms.

And of course the food.  There are all of the stadium staples - $10 beers, chicken fingers and fries.  You have to try the garlic fries (be prepared since they are seriously smelly) and they also had cheese steaks (good but could have been better).

Of course with my luck, I managed to be in the bathroom during Jeter's homer, but the Yanks closed in on the Phillies 2 run lead in spectacular fashion in the 9th to win the game.  There was a giant cloud over the stadium while the Yankees were down, but miraculously the sun started to shine and A-Rod (A-Roid) hit a homer to tie the game.  It was the best game I have been too and I don't even like the Yankees that much.  Will have to make it to CitiField next...xx
